JSEB Plot Summary: We didn't much pay attention to the plot of this movie, having spent the majority of the movie fuming over the stupid decision of the writers to send Jon's character to China.

Comments:

On Adam Sandler: The two have known each other since their days working New York's comedy clubs together. "I always used to try to borrow money from Adam when he was making $15 a night," he remembers. "He was a soft touch. Of course, now we have very little contact. Have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone who's being carried on a litter?" (Bergen County Record 6/20/99.)

The film went into production before The Waterboy was released. According to Jon, Sandler hasn't been changed by success. "We haven't told him yet. He still believes the movie hasn't opened yet" (Journal Now 1/28/99).

"In many ways, Jon has the trickiest part in the movie," says director Dennis Dugan. "He's in the first 12 minutes of the film and in that short amount of time, he has to make enough of an impression on the audience so that when he returns at the end, they'll go, `I'm so happy that this guy came back!' And Jon achieved that. What he did with the role was remarkable" (Bergen County Record 6/20/99).

When asked if he had fun shooting the movie, he answered, "Yeah, until they sent my character to CHINA... I thought they liked me." (Comedy Central Chat 7/21/99.)
